Carousel Shopping Centre – External Roads Upgrade

As part of the $350m Carousel Shopping Centre Redevelopment, Georgiou was awarded the $4m External Roads Package. The package involves the upgrade of several surrounding roads to accommodate the new changes to the shopping centre, including extensive works to Albany Highway.
QTM were engaged by Georgiou to design and implement traffic management control on the project, and upgrade traffic signals to allow for the new bus lane at Albany Highway and Liege Street intersection.
Detailed scope includes:
- The introduction of a dedicated bus lane along Albany Highway;
- Relocation of the existing Services along Albany Highway including drainage, sewer, water retic, gas, Western Power and fibre optic;
- Upgrade of minor roads Liege Street, Grose Avenue, Cecil Avenue.
All works were carried out whilst keeping all access points to the shopping centre open and with minimal lane closures on the busy Albany Highway.
